The SSTM type switches are appropriate for safe ON/OFF switching of various machine tools or electric devices, as they ensure automatic protection against unwanted start, when power supply returns after a network failure. The power failure relay is factory built-in, without own output contacts, the operating voltage is ensured by the load-side contacts of the switch. In case of power failure, the relay disconnects the controlled device from the power supply line. Re-start is only possible with repeated operation of the green pushbutton, by the user.
